New features in GeoPDF Toolbar

topostrip.jpg

The free GeoPDF toolbar (for Adobe Acrobat Reader) from TerraGo now has new functionality that includes the ability to import shp, kml, and gpx and export shp and kml files. GeoPDF offers a good solution to share dynamic maps and geospatial information without your users need a full GIS application. It is also useful for digital collection in the field. Particularly useful is the digital collection of over 55,000 USGS topographic maps that are GeoPDF enabled. From the USGS Store you can order a paper copy or download a digital GeoPDF enabled map for free. If you need to make your own map the map authoring environment (Map2PDF) is available for use at the Electronic Data Center for current Emory faculty, staff, and students.

The Electronic Data Center supports quantitative and spatial research at Emory University.
